The Public Facilities program helps protect the health and safety of our community by ensuring that public spaces such as schools, hotels, tattoo studios, mobile home/RV parks and public swimming pools operate in a clean, sanitary, and regulation-compliant manner.
Our responsibilities include reviewing construction and renovation plans to ensure health codes are met before new or modified facilities open. We issue permits, perform routine inspections, and monitor ongoing compliance with state regulations. When necessary, we take enforcement actions to address violations that could pose a risk to public health.
