March Employee of the Month

Anita Hudson was chosen as BRDHD’s March Employee of the Month.  Anita was nominated by Tammy Drake, who had this to say about Anita, “Our home visits with our families consist of sharing a parent/child curriculum.  These handbooks are approximately 300 pages and each family receives one.  The cost to have these sent out to be copied was too costly.  Each worker was responsible for making these for their families, which was very time consuming and keeps them in the office and time away from making billable visits.  Although Anita’s job is data entry, billing and filing, she suggested that she make the books.  Anita started in January doing this; she makes the books before the start of the workday (8:00) so that the copier isn’t tied up for other employees.  To date we have kept up the stockpile of GGK parent handbooks and the workers are spending more time in the field with the families, rather than in the office in front of the copier.”

Anita started here at BRDHD in January of 2006 as a Senior Support Staff Associate; in August of 2006 she started as the Data Entry Operator for the HANDS Program.  Anita said the best thing about working here is, “The people I work with.  It makes you look forward to getting up and coming to work.”  Anita grew up here in Warren County and has a daughter, April, a son, Brandon, and one granddaughter, Hayli.  Anita’s hobbies in her spare time are:  exercising, outdoor activities and singing karaoke.
