June Employee of the Month

Peggy Cosby was chosen as June’s Employee of the Month.  Jane Lewis nominated Peggy and had this to say about her, “Peggy has shown an ‘above and beyond attitude’ when dealing with a pregnant, undocumented immigrant who presented at our clinic for prenatal care.  Peggy patiently dealt with this patient, as she had to overcome a language and culture barrier.  Peggy has had to learn how and what to do with this type of patient when they present to our clinic for services.  SCHD previously has not had to deal with the uninsured prenatal population until recently.  Needless to say, there was little knowledge on how to efficiently and effectively process such a patient.” 

Peggy began working with BRDHD in May of 2004 as a Senior Support Staff Associate in Simpson County.  Peggy loves working with the staff at the health department, the clients and enjoys helping others.  This is evident in her hobbies, which includes: volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club, and her church.  Peggy also loves to read in her spare time.

 Peggy has been married to her husband, Charles for 35 years and they have two sons, Charles Jr. and Cheroid.  She also has two grandsons, Charles III and Tristan.
