Business - Education Partner of the Year  2003-2004
The Barren River District Health Department was recognized as the 2003-2004 Business-Education Partner of the Year by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce. The health department was one of 25 businesses participating in the Business-Education Partnership program this school year. Partnering with Dishman McGinnis Elementary School, District and Warren County Health Department staff gave money for school supplies and student rewards.  Employees attended various school events and as homeroom parents. The children sang for health department employees and presented them with many works of art.  The Chamber presented a plaque to the school, who in turn presented the above plaques to the health department.
