Courtesy Prescription Savings Program
FRANKFORT KENTUCKY: In an effort to improve the overall availability for access to affordable healthcare for ALL Kentuckians the Kentucky Public Health Association has announced the release of the KPHA “COURTESY” Rx Savings Program. This program is offered at no cost and may provide savings of up to 25% on some brand name medications and up to 70% on certain generic medications. While this program IS NOT an insurance plan, nor is it intended to replace one’s existing insurance, it may be used in coordination with one’s existing health insurance. If interested, please go to www.kpha-ky.org <http://www.kpha-ky.org> and select “Courtesy Rx Program” from the menu. After entering the required information, a personalized Rx discount card can be printed to display at over 45,000 pharmacies nationwide when making a medication purchase. If your Rx discount card is lost, just re-enroll and print another one. It is just that simple! KHPA president Shawn Crabtree stated, “ for thousands of uninsured and underinsured individual Kentuckians and their families as well as Kentucky small businesses owners this program could make a real difference in providing cost effective and open access to medication savings”. The program will be further promoted on statewide radio public service announcements.
