The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications for one (1) full time contract appointment for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. This position will serve in preventive women’s health clinics in the eight (8) county Barren River District. The minimum training requirement is a current active registered nurse license from the Kentucky Board of Nursing; and a current active advanced practice registered nurse license from the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Applicants need to be highly motivated, independently thinking professionals. Duties include working independently within the scope of practice of women’s preventive health and following the guidelines written in the Core Clinical Services Guide and under the direction of the Health Department Medical Director. Colon Cancer Screening Program Patient Navigator
The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications for one (1) part time independent contract appointment for a Patient Navigator. This position will be based at the District office in Bowling Green. The minimum educational requirement is a current KY Certified Nurse Aide or Certified Medical Assistant. Applicants need to be highly motivated, independently thinking professionals. Duties include providing outreach to target populations, assessing eligibility & screenings, educating patients of the screening tools the Colon Cancer Screening Program will use and following-up after the screenings. Local Health Nurse I
The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for a Local Health Nurse I. Requirements are an Associate degree or diploma from an accredited college, university or school of nursing. You must have met all of the requirements of Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA) or have a current active Kentucky Registered Nurse license or have a compact state licensure. No previous nursing practice experience required. Duties include clinical nursing for all clinic areas. Will travel to other counties within the district's eight counties as needed. Assessment method will be interviews. The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Kentucky driver's license. The starting hourly rate of pay is $14.77 with excellent benefits.
