The Barren River District Health Department has had a grant through the Governor's Highway Traffic Safety Program since October, 1999. We collect injury data from the emergency department of 6 local hospitals and provide collective injury data to those who want the information. While we receive no identifying information, we do receive general information including sex, race, age and the injury codes. Other than the collective, Unintentional Injury Reports 2000-2003 listed immediately below this section, information is compiled as we receive requests for it. Therefore, some counties have more information than others on the website.
