The dental service branch is a portable dental team that consists of Registered Dental Hygienists, and local contracted Dentists that travel throughout our eight county area providing preventative dental services. These services include: dental exams, cleanings, fluoride varnish, x-rays (when needed), dental sealants and dental education. Our portable team treats patients in area schools, head start programs, local Ob-GYN offices, nursing homes, and other adult programs within our counties. Our equipment is portable, so that any room can be transformed into a dental office. The focus of our programs is to provide more access points for these patients that have never been to a Dentist, or it has been at least a year since their last appointment. By bringing the dental office to them, we figure that will reduce missed appointments, and reduce those barriers such as financial difficulties, transportation, lack of education, lack of access to appointments with local dentists.
