The Disaster Preparedness Branch works with BRDHD staff, community partners, and the general public. Our branch develops response plans for disasters that may have an impact on public health and trains public health staff on response plans. Working with community partners, our branch helps assure that if a large scale emergency occurrs, the health of the community will be addressed.
Our branch works to educate all citizens about how they can be personally prepared for a disaster and recruits volunteers for the Barren River Area Medical Reserve Corps.
