The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for a Local Health Nurse I. Requirements are an Associate degree or diploma from an accredited college, university or school of nursing. You must have met all of the requirements of Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA) or have a current active Kentucky Registered Nurse license or have a compact state licensure. No previous nursing practice experience required. Duties include clinical nursing for all clinic areas. Will travel to other counties within the district's eight counties as needed. Assessment method will be interviews. The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Kentucky driver's license. The starting hourly rate of pay is $14.77 with excellent benefits. Principal forgiveness is limited to $10,000 per year or the balance of the loan if less than $10,000. The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for a Clinical Nutritionist to be based in Warren County. Requirements are a Bachelors degree and be a Licensed Dietitian or a Certified Nutritionist by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure and Certification. Duties include providing clinical and community nutrition services. Other duties as assigned. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Kentucky driver's license. The successful applicant will be required to take a pre-employment drug test and background check. Hourly wage is $16.30 with excellent benefits such as: 37.5 hour work week, usual work hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday, 11.5 paid holidays per year, over twelve days each vacation and sick time earned per year, paid health, dental and life insurances and a Kentucky Retirement System member.
