January Employee of the Month

Lana McChesney was chosen as January’s Employee of the Month.  She was nominated by Shauna Stice who said, “Lana gives 110% everyday.  She will always make time to go above and beyond the call of duty for her patients.  It is easy to see that she truly cares about these people and is willing to help in any way she can.  She is tremendous help to new staff.  She is a very good teacher and is very patient to those who are learning.  She is always very professional and works hard to stay up-to-date on all policies and procedures.  Lana keeps a positive attitude and sets a good example for all who work with her.  She is one of the best co-workers I have ever had.  It is very obvious to everyone who works with her that she loves her job and her patients.”

Lana started here at BRDHD in April of 2007 after 5 years as a TJ Samson Labor and Delivery nurse.  Her job here not only requires the daily responsibilities of a clinic nurse, but she is also the pap smear Case Manager for the Kentucky Women’s Cancer Screening Program.  When asked what her favorite thing about working here at BRDHD Lana replied, “I feel blessed to have a job that allows me to have so much family time.  Also having a job that lets me talk/teach all day and work with and manage women’s health is a dream nursing job for me!  I feel extremely humbled and thankful for this recognition.”

Lana, a Hart County native, lives in Smiths Grove with her husband Jonathan and their daughter, Evy Claire and Shih Tzu, Sassy.  In her spare time, Lana enjoys reading, cooking, and going to church.

Congratulations Lana!
