Certified Installer’s Maintenance Training as
required by 902 KAR 10:140 Section 3(1), which states that “all
persons holding valid certification under KRS 211.357 shall be
required to attend training workshops offered by the cabinet to
maintain certification and improve competency.” According to
Section 3(5), “any person failing to meet certification maintenance
requirements shall be subject to administrative action under Section 6
of this regulation and KRS 211.357(4)”. Also, 902 KAR 10:140, Section
6(1) states “failure of any certified installer to comply with the
requirements of KRS 211.350, 211.357 (4)(5), 902 KAR 10:081, 902 KAR
10:085
The
certification year for Certified Septic System Installers begins on
April 1 of each year and runs through March 31st of the
following year. Installers are required to obtain 6 hours of
continuing education training each certification year to maintain their
certification.
Installers whose certification expires for lack of maintenance training
must complete 6 hours of makeup training for reinstatement of their
certification. After reinstatement, they are then required to
obtain training for the present certification year by March 31st in
order to be in good standing for the following year.
Installers who are newly certified during
the first nine months of the certification year (April 1 through December 31,) are also required to obtain 6 hours of maintenance
training by March 31st.
Fee for the class is $50.00 and must be paid on
the day you attend class. You must call Sherry Poland at
270-781-8039 ext. 153 to sign up for the date that you wish to
attend. Six (6) credit hours will be given on each date
listed. There will be a limit of 30 people per class.
