Local Health Nurse I

The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for a Local Health Nurse I.  Requirements are an Associate degree or diploma from an accredited college, university or school of nursing.  You must have met all of the requirements of Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA) or have a current active Kentucky Registered Nurse license or have a compact state licensure.  No previous nursing practice experience required.  Duties include clinical nursing for all clinic areas.  Will travel to other counties within the district's eight counties as needed.  Assessment method will be interviews.  The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check.  Must have reliable transportation and a valid Kentucky driver's license.  The starting hourly rate of pay is $14.77 with excellent benefits.   Applications may be picked up at any health department or by clicking here and must be submitted with a copy of college transcript and nursing license at any time to:  Personnel Director, P.O.
