Family Support Worker/Home Visitor--(2) Positions

The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications for two full-time Family Support Worker/Home Visitor positions to work in the HANDS program. These positions will be based in Warren County, but potentially serve all eight counties. The minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED and experience in a social/health related field such as working with children, teens, and adults in a daycare, medical office, or school, which provides medical or community support services. Duties include working in the HANDS program conducting home visits with eligible first-time parents, providing and assisting families with child development information, parenting skills, health information, and linking resources. The successful applicants will also complete various forms and documentation for case records and monthly reports. Other duties as assigned. Travel will be required to other counties as needed, after orientation and training is complete. You must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. The minimum hourly wage is $8.10. Public Health Nurse I

The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications for Public Health Nurse I positions to be based in Warren County.  These positions will be based in Bowling Green, but will serve all eight counties.  The minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college, university, or school of nursing.  Must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in Kentucky, meeting all requirements of KRS 314.041 and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA).  No previous nursing practice experience required.  Duties include investigation and case management of communicable diseases, coordination of follow-up with medical providers, and home visits.  Other duties as assigned.  This position requires weekend and holiday on-call rotation.  You must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.  Minimum hourly rate is $15.74.  The successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.  Applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis.  Applications may be picked up at any health department or by clicking here.  Return completed application, transcript and copy of license to:  Human Resources Director, P.O. Local Health Nurse I

The Barren River District Health Department is accepting applications on an ongoing basis for a Local Health Nurse I.  Requirements are an Associate degree or diploma from an accredited college, university or school of nursing.  You must have met all of the requirements of Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA) or have a current active Kentucky Registered Nurse license or have a compact state licensure.  No previous nursing practice experience required.  Duties include clinical nursing for all clinic areas.  Will travel to other counties within the district's eight counties as needed.  Assessment method will be interviews.  The successful applicant will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check.  Must have reliable transportation and a valid Kentucky driver's license.  The starting hourly rate of pay is $14.77 with excellent benefits.   Applications may be picked up at any health department or by clicking here and must be submitted with a copy of college transcript and nursing license at any time to:  Human Resources Director, P.O.
